All Arcadia Has to Offer
One of the many things that makes Arcadia Scottsdale so special is its amazing location. The community is just minutes away from some of Scottsdale’s best shopping, dining, and nightlife venues. And for outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of options nearby for hiking, biking, and golfing. Arcadia Scottsdale is a great place to live for those who want to be close to the city but still have a sense of community.
Arcadia is minutes away from shopping and dining at either Biltmore Fashion Park or Scottsdale Fashion Square. Biltmore Fashion Park is home to luxury shops such as Anthropologie, J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, Pottery Barn, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Scottsdale Fashion Square has many of the same shopping options, as well as other luxury brands like Armani Exchange, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci.
Both Biltmore Fashion Park and Scottsdale Fashion square have exquisite fine dining options for Arcadia residents, including Blanco Tacos + Tequila, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, True Food Kitchen, Zinburger, Nobu, Ocean 44, and Toca Madera. It’s hard for the MoJo Team to name our favorites because they all provide unique and amazing dining experiences depending on whether you’re in the mood for premium steaks, seafood, Mexican fare, or healthy, chef-driven seasonal eats.
If you’re an outdoorsy type, the Arcadia area has incredible trails for hiking, biking, and jogging. Camelback Mountain is the beautiful backdrop for Arcadia residents, and has two hiking trails: Echo Canyon Trail and Cholla Trail. Each of these trails are over a mile in length and have a peak altitude of 1,280 feet, so be prepared for a hike that’s on the strenuous side. Set aside 1.5 to 3 hours to hike out and back, depending on your hiking speed.
The Arizona Canal is signature to Arcadia, and is nearly 50 miles long, offering bikers and joggers an awesome pathway for their route. The canal is dotted by breweries and restaurants, and nearly all of them have outdoor seating and bike racks, and many of them are even dog friendly too!
Real Estate in Arcadia
Whether you’re looking for a cozy starter home or a sprawling estate, Arcadia definitely has something to suit your needs and you’ll have one of the most desirable addresses in the greater Phoenix area, or even all of Arizona. There are three different areas that make up Arcadia: Arcadia Proper, Lower Arcadia, and Arcadia Lite, and many of the luxury residences from any of the three areas were expertly designed or have been recently updated with high-end finishes and features like gourmet kitchens, spacious master suites, and private outdoor living spaces.
In Arcadia Proper, which stretches from 44th Street to 68th Street, and between Camelback and the Arizona Canal, is the most sought-after neighborhood. The large, lush home lots have larger estate homes and still echo the citrus grove past of Arcadia, when Phoenix was still being settled. Average lot sizes are a half acre and the custom homes were mostly built from the 1920s – 1950s, many of which have been extensively renovated or even rebuilt. This area is the priciest you’ll find, and considered the hottest real estate market in the Valley. Homes go quick, which is why it’s imperative to have an expert real estate team on your side to get you into this coveted part of Arcadia.
The boundaries of Lower Arcadia are considered 44th Street to 56th Street, and from Indian School Road to Thomas Road, and shares many of the same characteristics of Arcadia Proper including being well-suited for families. Arcadia Lite refers to the area between 32nd Street to 44th Street and Camelback to Indian School Road, and is considered the hip trendsetter area of Arcadia, and has seen so much growth in recent years. While you may not have a lush, green Arcadia estate on an expansive lot, you’ll still have the Arcadia feel and the perks of the Arcadia lifestyle, and will be close to some of the Valley’s hottest and hippest locations, such as Postino Wine Cafe, The Vig, and La Grande Orange.
