What Are The Benefits?

When done correctly, home staging allows buyers to see a property in its’ full potential. Staging helps maximize your property equity when it’s time to sell and can help get your home sold in the shortest time frame possible.

Staged to Sell Design Services says, “Well-staged homes sell up to 82% faster than non-staged properties and appraise for higher sales prices.”

The Reality

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) performed a study from the Buyers’ Agent Perspective.

They found, “40 percent of buyers’ agents cited that home staging had an effect on most buyers’ view of the home” and “83 percent of buyers’ agents said staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home.” Buyers agents also noted that, “Staging the living room was found to be most important for buyers (47 percent), followed by staging the master bedroom (42 percent), and staging the kitchen (35 percent).”

Our thoughts

Many people think staging is solely a furniture rental service. However, they offer so much more – such as; paint color evaluation, improved exterior appearance for maximum curb appeal, redesign of existing furnishings in occupied homes, artwork placement, effective use of accessories, etc.

Josh Hintzen says, “As cheesy as it sounds, staging turns a house into a home.”

Can Home Buyers Keep Staging Pieces?

A common question we receive is, “Can the buyers buy the house and everything inside it too?”

Some of these companies have a program that allows home buyers to purchase the staged pieces. It’s best to reach out to your realtor and have them get you the best deals. The MoJo Team has great relationships with local vendors and are happy to be a point of contact for you! Get it touch.
